Look out for more than just falling prices.....

Keep an eye out for over the top customer service that can be a little embarrassing to the customer being served.
So let's set the stage. On the way home from work my wife called and asked that I pick up a few essential items...

• Tortilla chips
• 1 can of caso
• Wheat bread, I am really that new Mrs Bairds
• Yoplait whips for Jackson
• Baby Warsh
• OJ
• GJ
• 3 Wire plate hangers, smaller size (this is where my story really starts)

So I do all my shopping on the grocery side of the great beast that is the south side Wal-Marts. I move on to the last item on my list, wire plate hangers, smaller size. I look all through housewares and crafts with no luck. Now if you know what I am talking about wire plate angers are not the manliest of items to search for. I find a blue vest and explain my situation.

"My wife sent me to get some wire plate hangers, and I am having some trouble finding them. Do you know where they might be?"

Well it turns out that my super Wal-Mart team member was not a part of that department but rather worked in cosmetics. She agreed to help me anyway. My new friend and I looked for like 10 minutes all through housewares, "the gadget section", crafts, and hardware. I decided to give up because I had enchiladas and nachos waiting at home.

I proceeded to the checkout section on the other side of the store. I got in the back of the line. A couple of minutes past and I heard something over the load speaker. Apparently my partner did not give up as easily as I did.

"Would the gentleman looking for the plate hangers please return to the housewares section"

Well, there was no way I was getting out of line and chance letting people know that I was the guy looking for plate hangers. A couple more minutes past. All of a sudden I see her coming my, plate hanger in tow.

"Sir I found your plate hanger in the hardware section"

Well at this point I explained that while I appreciated her hard work in needed 3 of them and in the smaller size. So she dragged me out of line to show me where they were.

So thirty minutes later, after searching, being paged over the load speaker of Wal-mart, getting tracked down by an associate, and bonding with my new best friend I had my 3 plate hangers int he smaller size. They are located just beyond the paint in the hardware section and are a bargain at $1.07 a piece.
